BOSTON (Ticker) -- Allen Iverson and the Denver Nuggets endureda rough ending to their East Coast opener. A day later, theywill be faced with the tough task of bouncing back against KevinGarnett and the Boston Celtics.


The Nuggets continue their four-game tour of the EasternConference when they visit the Garnett and the new-look Celticson Wednesday.


The first leg of the trip did not go so well, as Denver droppeda hard-fought 119-112 decision to the New York Knicks.

Despite suffering a badly cut lip late in the fourth quarter,Iverson finished with 32 points, five assists and four stealsfor the Nuggets, who were outscored by a 37-20 margin in thefourth quarter.


Known mostly for his offensive game, Iverson has been makingstrides on defense this campaign, collecting 15 steals throughthe first four outings.


Denver center Marcus Camby, the reigning NBA Defensive Player ofthe Year, will be counted on heavily Wednesday when he matchupsup with Garnett.


Making his second appearance with the Celtics since beingacquired in an offseason blockbuster trade with the MinnesotaTimberwolves, Garnett collected 23 points and 13 rebounds inSunday's 98-95 overtime triumph over the Toronto Raptors.

Fellow newcomer Ray Allen also delivered an outstandingperformance, scoring 33 points and drilling the game-winning3-pointer in the extra session.


Boston's three-headed monster of Garnett, Allen and Paul Pierceshould be able to pile up plenty of points against a Denver teamthat allows 95.7 points.
