Ramos - Berbatov can go if he's not happy

QUOTE

LONDON (AFP) - Tottenham manager Juande Ramos has hinted he will allow Dimitar Berbatov to leave if the Bulgaria striker makes it clear he is unhappy. The 26-year-old forward has produced a series of lacklustre performances this season, sparking suggestions he was keen to quit White Hart Lane. Reports that Manchester United would try to sign him when the transfer window opens in January increased after his agent travelled to London this week for talks with Tottenham's sporting director Damien Comolli, while Berbatov's father has also suggested his son is unsettled. Ramos wants a fully committed squad and the Spanish coach claimed he would not stand in Berbatov's way if he wants to go. "I believe you can't force players to stay in the team if they don't want to," Ramos said. "It is not good for the team or the player, so I wouldn't stand in anyone's way if they want to leave." Berbatov, who is in the squad for Spurs's UEFA Cup clash against Hapoel Tel Aviv on Thursday, was criticised for appearing to refuse to warm-up when he was a substitute in his side's defeat at Newcastle recently. Ramos insists Berbatov must give total commitment to the north London club. "I think he is happy, but that is a question you need to ask him," Ramos added. "He is a Spurs player and he needs to help and support the team."

He's a great player that can produce for ramos or any other club, I personally wouldnt let him walk out!

Me neither Art, I really believe that he's their best player.
Now if he wants to leave than thats another story.

Im hearing alot of manchester fans wanting him in the jan trasnfer window, but I doubt Manu has any funds to splash on another striker after the spending they did in the off-season. He could go to Arsenal and betray the spurs...lol

lol, we'll have money to spend if we really want him. (I know I do personally, not sure about sir alex)

lol do Arseal want him though. Would be funny as one of my best friends supportsspurs and he would get ripped for eternity.

man u will have enough funds at the end of the season i suspect if sir alex really wants him

Man Utd in serious trouble with Debt ATM so whether they'll splash the Cash i don't know.

Bet they will though with or without the debt. I hope they do so man u can get new owners

yeah, ppl buy clubs who are profitable, unless you areRoman (chelsea owner) who spends more then he actually makes off the club...lol

QUOTE (Max)

who would buy a debt Ridden club?

People who love the club I have seen it happen to other clubs

For United its different, since its the most known club in the world, even if they have a debt, they'll still make money if they're doing good in the league and champions league. They're just like Real Madrid, they'll always compete for something.
