Unless something happened that the Nets didn't announce, Darrell Armstrong and Malik Allen do not yet have guaranteed contracts for the full season. Armstrong has a partial guarantee which I suspect is somewhere in the mid-six figures and Allen has no guarantee. Neither contract would be fully guaranteed until January 10. At that point as well, the Nets could sign a player like Houston or Hite or Adams to a vets minimum deal and not go over the luxury tax threshold. I think the Nets like the idea of those non-guaranteed deals and won't guarantee either Allen or Armstrong til the last minute...or if the need arises, wish them well.

Will they bring back Hassan? Cleveland didn't want him. I hope we can pick up Hassan again.

Why? Hassan is not an NBA caliber player. He's useless.

I wouldn't be surprised if Malik Allen didn't show us much, and Krstic came back to his old self. Malik would surely get cut, then.

Armstrong shouldn't get cut, unless a season-ending injury happens (knock on wood).

You know we're fans of the Nets right? It'll take a knock-on-redwood to keep that from happening.

we still need a dead eye shooter the likes of eddie house, i'm leaning towards signing allan houston on jan 10...the nets need someone who can come in and make the other team pay for cheating on defense...allan should start practicing with the nets december...

Based on what I have seen...and what we can expect from Krstic...I don't know if the Nets will keep Allen should they need another shooter (they do). With Magloire getting used to the system, Williams maturing and hopefully Boone improving, I wonder how much need there is for Allen, particularly with the Nets also using Boki upfront.
