Nov 9 - According to a report on TNT's NBA broadcast Thursday night, Gilbert Arenas is thinking about having an MRI exam on the knee and also may consider asking Wizards Coach Eddie Jordan to cut his minutes.

Arenas made no mention of a possible MRI exam when he spoke with reporters before Thursday night's 87-85 loss at New Jersey. He also said he would continue playing his normal allotment of minutes as long as the knee felt as it did on Thursday evening.

"Before, I was going hard because I didn't feel any pain so I wasn't icing it like I should have been," Arenas said. "When you don't feel any pain, you think everything is just normal. Now I know what I have to do. I have to keep up my strength exercises, my flexibility exercises, ice and stay off it as much as possible." -- Washington Post

Did Kidd hint him to do this? Seems like it.

How will this effect his free agency value? If they diagnose him with a microfracture and he needs surgery teams won't be eager to sign him for big money.

QUOTE

After Thursday’s win, Jason Kidd was seen talking to Gilbert Arenas for several minutes on the floor. Arenas reveals in his blog that both Kidd and Richard Jefferson told him to get a second opinion on his surgically repaired knee and that he shouldn’t be playing so many minutes this early in the season. Kidd also has advice for LeBron James on dealing with the absence of a key big man
