Nov 9 - "He's been picking up a couple of cheap ones almost every game," Flip Saunders said. "The last game (against Atlanta) there was no reason for him not to make an adjustment. You get to four or five fouls, you have to be careful about what you are doing. The key is, when you understand how the refs are calling a game, you have to adjust."

Richard Hamilton, though, doesn't think there's any real problem, nor does he think he needs to make any adjustment.

As for his frustration level, Hamilton says it's under control.

"Last year was last year," he said, as if wiping the slate clean. "With my technical fouls, I controlled each and every one. You do things to make a statement sometimes. It's nothing that I think about and it's nothing that's a problem. With my team, it's not like they are saying, 'Rip, you've got to stop getting Ts,' because they know that when I get one, I meant to get it." -- Detroit News

[*]Pistons coach Flip Saunders likened Hamilton to Miami center Shaquille O'Neal in terms of how difficult his game is to officiate.

"Because of his constant movement and how people try to prevent his movement and how he gets open, he's a hard guy to guard," Saunders said. "He's a hard guy to call when you're a referee, like Shaq."

"I tell the ref all the time, if someone is grabbing or holding me, and you're not calling it, my job is to get him up off me," Hamilton said. "I was always taught that's how you play -- get a guy up off you. Last game I got caught, hand in the cookie jar. But I know what to do." -- Detroit Free Press
