They look like a serious threat to win that division. Is Dwight Howard elevating to elite status?

nope they're pretty good now that they have lewis and howard together. And yes, howard is probably a top 4 or 5 big man in the league now.

It's a well-designed team.
They have shooters, size, defensively responsible players and a dominant inside force.
The overall talent level may not blow people away, but I like the job they've done putting things together.

We're pretty good, but don't forget the Magic typically are fast starters. I'm waiting for this streak to end. The 2 games we have lost have been blowouts. I do think we should win the division.

Big win tonight.
I love the job Otis Smith has done.
He "overpayed" Rashard Lewis and got a lot of crap for it, but he was right not to go the safe route. (Like EVERY other GM does nowadays.)
He has a player that can be a centerpiece to a championship team, and he is doing everything to minimize his weaknesses and accentuate his strengths.
That is how to win a title in the NBA.

Is Ariza back? If they find a way to get another good big man, somehow, they're probably gonna be unstoppable.

Magic started out fast last year, but didn't finish strong. They lost Hill and Darko and added Lewis. Jameer Nelson seems to have really elevated his game, and if he keeps it up for the whole season, the Magic are going to be tough all season.

Rashard is playing a lot better than I expected, likewise Jameer Nelson.
How much is Van Gundy responsible for this? Its a real smooth FIBA style offense...

I definitely don't think Van Gundy gets enough credit for the way the team is playing. Yea, Otis Smith did bring in a helluva talent in Rashard, but he also botched the Darko signing and left Dwight with virtually no help in the frontcourt. The team has its strengths and Van Gundy's created a simple, yet effective, system that plays to them and gets the best out of Rashard and Dwight.

Yea... they are clicking right now... but the lakers will stop them LOL
Kobe will dunk on Dwight (again) and Bynum will contain him LOL

Magic made a big move, dropping Hill, not gettin Billy Donovan, and getting Van Gundy. He's a great coach. Seems now that he's perfect for this team.
