- The Vince Carter injury even if its minor is going to hurt. He was just getting over the wrist injury...sigh.

    - Josh Boone is making me tear my hair out. He still looks like a damn rookie out there.

    - Sean Williams is damn good. He can pretty much score anywhere in the paint with that nice jumper and that soft touch. He should be the 1st big off the bench. I'm going a little far because he did make some defensive mistakes but I like him. (K-Mart never had that soft touch btw)

    - Malik Allen is going to get cut, hes no Mikki.

    - Nachbar needs to join the Nets this season already. He is not a good defender so if he is not scoring he shouldn't be out there.

    - Wright keep improving before my eyes. He is our best one on one defender by far and now I don't cringe when he shoots that mid range shot. I love this guy.

    - How come no one has mentioned Kidd's improved shooting? He is keeping the D honest.

    - The Boston loss was expected, did you guys really think we could stop this team on the roll they are on? They are on a honey moon period right now though. They won't be on cloud nine all year long.

    - I said it after the Chicago game and I'm going to say it now, 3rd quarter meltdowns need to stop. That is on the coaching.

I agree with those points. We should be proud that we stopped turning the ball over to begin the game, although sure enough they popped up again in that 3rd. So far I'd say thats the biggest weakness to this team.

Hell I say start Sean with Collins. Magloire's playing better ball than Collins, but having Sean in there makes me feel more comfortable with pairing him with a big who won't make as many mental mistakes.

I'll give Sean credit on his post defense on KG. He was really active with his feet, and was a big annoyance for him. The sequence where he altered KG's shot enough to miss, and then caught his first alley-oop on the other end really said something to me.

We came back tonight because of defense, and paint-scoring when our jumper wasn't going (although hitting a couple of clutch three's helped). Shades of...well I'll give Sean enough credit for now.

I don't get it. We have Kidd, VC, and RJ, why do we go into so many offensive lulls?

I don't want to start anything but anyone notice how it becomes more team oriented ball when VC is out?

We should have kept Eddie House. We need a shooter and he shot over 40% last year. I don't understand why ee let him go.

Impressed with the resiliency the team showed tonight. Coming back after that horrendous 3rd, without Vince, to make it a single digit game is encouraging.

Wasn't there a report on how Thorn wasn't so anxious to sign him because he was a defensive liability and he wasn't a PG? I think there was,

Please have Krstic come off the bench. It is painful to watch him sluggishly play against the other team's best players.

And I agree with Thorn. Yeah he killed us today, but the only reason he's looking so good is because he's getting open shots. Take that away, and he is nothing special at all. I much rather prefer a guy like Armstrong, whom can both orchestrate the offense and shoot the ball.

I get really tense when he's out on the floor. He's a real liability, so I don't mind seeing him on the bench.

Yea, I think you're right. (Didn't Ratner tell ZAE he wasn't wanted back, too? Can't remember). But, I think Eddie would have chosen Boston over us anyway, even if we were interested.

I rather have Armstrong over House. House made so many defensive mistakes today that helped the Nets get back into the game.

Armstrong is 100x the leader House is as well. I liked Eddie when he was shooting, but if he's off, he's useless.

That wasn't that surprising for me. Magloire getting blocked by KG and the rim at the same time looked pretty bad tonight.

Glenn Davis getting all those damn offensive rebounds was damn annoying. Same as in the preseason game. Also the Nets bigs fouling Celtics on baseline drives and bailing them out.

1.--I though Boone looked pretty good in his limited minutes. He entered the game as the lone big in a lineup with Kidd, Carter, Wright, and RJ for the last five and a half minutes of the third period. The Celtics had two bigs in the game at the time, Garnett and Glen Davis. Boone was guarding Garnett. garnett took zero shots, ahd four rebounds (one offensive), one assist, and committed an offensive turnover. Boone had one rebound. During that period Allen and Piercehit some wide-open long jumpers.

2.--The perimeter defense was very poor. Why didn't the Nets play a tighter man-to-man, at least against Peirce and Allen with RJ and Antoine Wright?

I'd rather not, and play it safe. Of course thats on the belief that the injury isn't serious enough to keep him from the game anyway
