Krstic is not ready, bring him off the bench to play against backup scrubs. Sean is our best big and his weakside shotblocking will compliment Collins post defense. To bad Sean won't play next game

    No he shouldn't...yet.

He needs to be the 1st big off the bench though. For one you can't reward a rookie that fast with a starting position, we need to keep him motivated so more playing time is enough for now.

Wow a guy has a few good minutes against a drained defense on the tail end of a back-to-back, and this thread pops up? I know Sean Williams from seeing him a lot in college, and to me he is way too raw for a starting job at this point. He will definitely give you some quality minutes in spurts, but he won't keep it up consistently.

He's a rookie, with very raw offensive talent. He is far too over-anxious, as was obvious with some of the mistakes he made tonight. This was his first significant playing time all season. You don't just throw a rookie into the starting line-up like that, with so little actual meaningful experience.

You can't start him because he had one good game. You gradually increase his minutes first, and then move on from there. This isn't NBA live.

Bingo. Starting him may actually have a negative effect. If you throw him into the fire, and he completely falls apart, who knows what will happen with his confidence.

Nah I think it needs to be done.

    1. Krstic isn't anything close to what he should be.
    2. Sean Williams' length has shown itself to be a valuable asset on the defensive end. If he's not blocking shots he's altering them.
    3. Malik is at his best when he's a smart player, but I'm not seeing him have as much of an impact as Sean.
    4. His ability to play our pick and roll offense is there. Heck is ability to score on the block was impressive.
    5. His stats tonight:

Sean Williams scored 10 points, and 4 rebounds in 11 minutes by shooting 80%. You stat geeks can fall in love with his stats per 40mpg.

Getting rewarded with playing time now kills confidence? I don't know if Marcus and Antoine would agree with you guys.

As for blaming his success on shoddy D, he was defending KG on the post for most of that span.

One thing I will say, though, is that Sean should definitely be the first big off the bench. Magloire is like a zombie out there, so stiff.

Nice way to twist words around, eh? I'm not saying he shouldn't get more PT. I'm saying he shouldn't start. Biiiiiig difference.

Who knows? Maybe we have a gem in Young Seany. he's certainly outplaying our other bigs in shorter minutes and we threw Krstic into the fire and he turned our alright,

I dont think Krstic should be starting right now but Sean is not the guy to replace him.

Sorry, I didn't mean to twist, I guess I just misinterpreted it. I could see how being labeled a starter places pressure on a young player, but surely this is outweighed by the confidence the organization places behind you. If getting more PT is good isn't getting more, better?

Of course getting more PT is better. But, starting? No. First big of the bench? Definitely.
