We can't expect this team to just pick it up and make a run like two years ago. We need to get these early home wins and establish some leaning room but as usual, this team loses to the beatable teams and then has to rally up for there early mistakes which forces our starters to play way to many minutes.

Carter will be out for several weeks... it's hard for this team now, unless Wright and Boki become very strong.

QUOTE (Shookem)

Wright did not look ready to step into Carter's shoes last night.

Well he isn't going to come in and be the 2nd coming of Carter but I really like how he has been playing this year (MIP candidate?). Over the summer he spent $40,000 of his own money to work out with some other NBA players (such as KG, Kobe, etc.) and a coach. He got there early and worked by him self and was the last to leave (so they said on the post game radio show last night). I liked how we played with Wright last night in the 4th quarter, we had good movement and we actually got on the break more then we would have with Vince but that is also because we had SWat in there too.

I hope Wrigth is not thinking, I got to fill VC's shoes, he has to go in and just play his game, everyone will help fill the VC gap. That was our game to win, Williams should have stuck in their untl the end.

wright played pretty good defense, and made some aggressive moves to the rim. Jefferson was the focal point of the offense. He'll be fine.

Wright made some nice moves but could not finish. A few times he had to throw it up because the shot-clock was expiring. Once, he got his defender in the air on a fake but didn't create contact (you see Sam Cassell do it all the time). He will learn. The main thing is, he is doing a lot of good things out there, including playing some terrific defense.

Wright offensively was far from perfect and was 4-12 but he still managed to score in double digits. That could not have been said about him last year.
