QUOTE

Al Iannazzone in the Record quotes team sources as saying the Grade 1 sprain could keep Vince Carter out of the lineup for as along as three weeks. Publicly, the team has said his return is indefinite, but based on the team’s history with ankle injuries, the Nets could sit the All Star for a protracted period.

NetsDaily.com

Damn.. then Marcus has to come back.

Usually for a Grade 1 it's 6 weeks for a full healing. Hopefully the Nets know what they're doing.

Doesn't sound good at all. Now all the attention is on RJ, which makes it a whole lot harder for him on offense.

Let's just get these injuries out of the way.

Time for Wright, Darrell, and Boki to get on track. And for Sean to get more minutes.
Let's hope Krstic is recovering well.

It is a big hit but better to play it safe.

Plus, this gives the offense more fluidity to it imo and get to see more out of the others.

It could be a lot longer than 3 weeks (gut feeling)

Pierce got injured for us last year and was projected to be out for 2-3 weeks, and he missed 2 months.

Its better he got hurt early in the season, at least we can play catch up (adding Derick Byars anyone...)

Actually I wouldn't mind the Nets trying to get Johnny Floyd to drop out of school and Randolph-Morris his way onto our team.

First he hurt his right elbow, later it got infected. Then he had a stress reaction in his left foot. Projections had him out 2-3 weeks.
http://www.rototimes.com/player_notes/nba/771
As for VC, a grade 1 ankle sprain requires 6 weeks for complete healing.

if boki was playing like the boki of last year and this years preseaon then i would feel more comfortable. we said we were deep at start of the year and talentwise i think we are, now it is time to prove it. the one thing we have in our favor is we have the motion offense so we havent been depending on vince to create for everyone. another good thing is that vince hasnt played up to par so other guys have been having to play well since game 1. dont get me wrong vince made plays, but we werent relying on him to score 30 a night to win games. hopefully we can stay above water while he is gone and when he comes back his ankel and thumb will be fine

At least King Jefferson is stepping up. He is the 4th scorer in the NBA.
Jefferson - Kidd - Sean Williams- Krstic will help us to win.

can we signcba's defender/shooter ralph holmes andplayer of the yeargalen young, bothchampions, withoutpaying the lux tax?
