Buried in Kerber's article was this gem:
"Frank said he toyed with the idea of not starting Krstic but decided against it."
I wonder who he was thinking of starting. I would guess Malik Allen.

Krstic needs to come off the bench. Facing the bench bigs could boost his confidence if he starts knocking down shots against them.

Didn't do all the great in the beginning of the game.
Ya gotta wonder how much better he woulda done if he came off the bench. Maybe he woulda hit more of those shots, especially at the end.

Taking him out of the starting lineup can also have a negative effect. He will understand why he's being sent to the bench, but at the same time, it will hurt his confidence.

Are you telling me that coming off the bench hurt Manu's confidence? Jason Terry? everyone on Golden State?

After yesterday's double double performance I'd say he's making enough positive strides to keep him in the starting lineup. But beyond Krstic I want Sean to start, and would prefer Collins to go with him. I'm at an impass.

They won't complan about it, but they would much rather be starters than sixth men. It is quite obvious that they still play hard, but not all players stay that strong, neccesarilly. In my opinion, Krstic might accept his bench role, but eventually get discourged by the decision. I doubt that he would be given the bench role for an entire season, but even for a couple games, it can ruin his confidence. I might be going out on a limb here, but I see discourgement as a possibility, mainly to those who can't accept it.

Start SEAN WILLLLLIIIIIIIIIIAMS. or Magloire...
I think Collins will keep starting.
I guess Frank has the gay love with Collins, so he starts Collins anyway.

I just don't see it working out.
