Carlito has been frustrated with WWE ever since moving to RAW in 2005. If Carlito were to leave the company and go to TNA, he could easily travel between Puerto Rico and Orlando for tapings and PPV's. Also, his father owns the WWC promotion, and someday it will be his, so there is always that option.
