The often maligned (and deservedly so) free-agent pickup has delivered consistent effort and production. You'd have to say he's meeting expectations so far.

Six games do not make an NBA season but Milicic's efficiency belies his clumsy preseason. He's shooting 46 percent, averaging 9.6 points, 8 rebounds and 1.6 blocks in 30 minutes.

Bottom line is that if Milicic can keep this up, he'll make his three-year, reportedly $21 million contract a bargain. -- Memphis Commercial-Appeal

QUOTE (CelticKing)

Yea that was a good deal for Memphis. Darko will give them 10 to 15 ppg and 10 to 13 rpg.

Really? I can see him getting 10-15 ppg, but 10-13 rpg? I'd say closer to 8-9. He's got to play alongside Gasol, and the guy's season high in boards is only 13. I'd predict a statline of 12.5 ppg, 8.5 rpg, 1 apg, and 2 bpg on just under 50% shooting, with about 55% from the line. He's gettingmoreburn in Memphis, but he's still part of an offense that doesn't create a lot of opportunities for big men, and now he plays next to an All-Star center (which could possibly work for him but will likely wind up working against him on the stat sheet for stats like rpg, bpg, etc.).
