He said his knee is only around 75-80% and he is clearly making a lot of mental mistakes on the floor.</p> </p>
he's still fairly young and this is his biggest injury of his life, definitly not an easy task to recover mentally and physically. you can see he's trying, but timid in doing so. he'll come around perhaps by the new year if we're lucky.
You know, right before the season started there was a CNNSI preview of the Bulls that featured an "anonymous NBA scout" saying the Bulls were really "going to miss Malik Allen". By process of deduction, I've concluded that scout must work for the Nets.</p>

Clearly Frank wants one of his starting big men to be able to shoot the ball. Of the big men on the roster, there are only two who qualify.</p>

Water is solid as much as it is liquid, though. Ever hear of ice?</p> And yes I want Collins to start with Sean. Hell bring Magloire in over Allen. I understand our need for a jumpshooting bigman, but my god for the occaisional shot that Allen makes Magloire grabs 5 times more rebounds (pulling that number out). I couldn't see the game, but from what I saw from the boxscore its not like Malik outplayed Krstic. This is a dubious move.</p> </p>

Would you want Marbury on your team because he can score 20 points and pick up 6-8 assists? Collins does some things very, verywell, and some things very poorly. He isn't average in anything, really. Is it better to replace him with someone who is very good and very bad at different things (for example, Nachbar)? Or someone who is average at everything (for example, Malik Allen or Magloire)? The thing is, there are no right and wrong answers. It's a matter of preference, and also a matter of who is is on the team. Boone, for instance, would score a few points and grab some rebounds, but it's obvious that the Nets would be much worse off if he played instead of Collins at this point. I'd love to replace him with Pau Gasol, but that probably isn't very realistic.</p> For my part, I accept that he is part of the team and will play somewhere between 15-25 minutes a night. The question seems to be: what situation should Collins be placed in to maximize his strengths and minimize his weaknesses? I have an opnion on that as everyone knows.</p>
