BOSTON (Ticker) - The Boston Bruins search for consistency onThursday when they host the Toronto Maple Leafs.


The Bruins snapped a four-game slide on Saturday with a 2-1 winagainst the Buffalo Sabres. Tim Thomas made 45 saves in thevictory, helping Boston overcome its offensive troubles to pickup just its second win in its last seven games.


Against the Maple Leafs, the Bruins try to win back-to-backgames for the first time since winning four in a row fromOctober 12-20.


Thomas is having an outstanding season, ranking second in theNHL with a .950 save percentage and fourth in the league with a1.65 goals-against average. The 33-year-old netminder has keptthe Bruins competitive, as they have scored two goals or fewerin 10 of their 15 games.


The Maple Leafs are on a two-game slide, suffering one-goallosses to the New York Rangers in a shootout before an overtimesetback to the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday.


Toronto is struggling on the blue line without defenseman PavelKubina, who is out indefinitely after injuring a ligament in hisknee against the Rangers. The 29-year-old defenseman is tiedfor fifth on the team with 11 points and has been a physicalpresence on the ice, racking up 22 minutes - second most on theMaple Leafs.
