I usually don't like taking shots at PJax coaching, but his rotations the last few games haven't made any sense. The Lakers were in control last night and Jordan Farmar was torching the Rockets from the 3 point arc. He nailed 3/5 and then PJax yanked him from the game. Farmar lost his rhythm and struggled the rest of the night. Rockets made a late push to close out the half with Farmar on the bench.

His use of Luke Walton last night was also terrible. Luke cannot defend Bonzi Wells or Chuck Hayes. How many times do you have to see Luke give up offensive rebounds or watch Bonzi knock him out of the way en route to a layup before you sub him out?

Ronny Turiaf was having a monster game and barely sniffed any playing time in the second half. The Lakers were getting killed on the offensive glass when Ronny was on the bench.

The substitution patterns don't have any consistency the last two games and the comes out flat in the second half. PJax needs to ride the hot hands and stop over coaching this team.

Another matchup was bringing Mo in the game everytime Mike James was in the game. Mo cannot defend anymore for some reason and Mike James is option 1 when he subs in. Mo is also a blackhole on offense and his long misses lead to Mike James leaking out for layups. When TMac was injured the Lakers didn't take advantage of the two PG backcourt the Rockets had on the court. The Lakers didn't run Kobe in the post or put the shooters on the court to spread the floor. The Rockets were packing the paint and neither Odom or Luke could hit their 3 pointers because neither were in rhythm.

I thought our team functioned a lot more efficiently when Odom was injured. The starting 5 of Fisher-Kobe-Walton-Turiaf-Kwame has better balance and ball movement. I think Odom would be better coming off the bench for us and being the first substitution in the game. He's over dribbling and refuses to play in the post to use his size. He's been asking to play SF so he could post more, but now that he's the starting SF he refuses to work for position and post up the smaller defender.

Lakers were lucky they won this game last night. The Rockets missed several wide open shots to win this game and also missed key free throws. The Lakers should win by more than a 3 point margin when Tracy McGrady gets injured and doesn't play the entire 2nd half.

The Lakers were outscored in the 3rd and 4th quarters last night and were a -9 in point differential after halftime. With the Rockets best player not on the court and the Lakers having everyone available that's unacceptable.

The same happened to the Lakers in the Spurs game. The Lakers were competitive for the first quarter and a half. Then PJax disrupts the chemistry by bringing Kwame back in the game despite Bynum dominating the Spurs on the inside and San Antonio goes on an 18-2 run and never looks back.

On the bright side, at least Brian Cook is finally in the doghouse. That's one development I couldn't be more excited about.

Yes I'm glad he's riding pine and I like how PJax screws with him by subbing him for 1 minute and then subbing him back out. LOL.

Sasha looks a lot better wearing a suit on the sidelines instead of the P&G as well.
