Yet another list of the 100 best players in the history of the world has been developed - this time by the "The Association of Football Statisticians'" (AFS), who will publish the list in book form in time for Christmas. No, I haven't heard of them either.

Anyway, according to a spokesman, this is a "comprehensive list of who really were, statistically, the best players of all time." You can read more about the methods used to develop the list, here:

    http://soccernet.espn.go.com/columns...ngland&cc=3436

It depends which statistics they are using to how accurate they are. I'm sure according to their stats and formula that is right, but I don't like 'best player' lists, since you cannot compare a Goalie with a Midfielder. Just doesn't work.
