Hoyte On The Racist Abuse From Serbians

QUOTE

Arsenal full-back Justin Hoyte has talked about the effect that unpunished racist abuse from both Serbian fans and players had on him and the England Under-21 side when England and Serbia met in the recent European U-21 Championships in Holland.
Serbia were allowed to remain in the competition despite the racism, and Uefa's protestations that it wants to stamp it out.
Indeed, Serbia went all the way to the final where they were eventually beaten by the hosts. But Hoyte, 22, this week told the official Arsenal website: "Originally I thought it was one of their chants.
"But then when we realised that it actually wasn't we stopped [playing]. We spoke to the referee, the linesman and to our coaches to tell them that they [the crowd] were being racist.
"It was tough because the officials did nothing so we had to get on with it.
"Then at the end of the game a few of the [Serbia] players were running up the tunnel and calling us names and spitting at us.
"It was really hard to take and I hope that it never happens again."
Hoyte confirmed that Manchester City's Nedum Onuoha had to bear the brunt of the crowd's abuse. And the Arsenal defender knew that his team-mate was finding it hard to cope with it.
"We club together whenever you hear a player experiencing it, but it was so hard for us all," he said.
"You could see in Nedum's body shape that he didn't want to carry on but we all put it behind us and became more determined to win the game, which we did.
"It's a shame that nothing happened to Serbia afterwards. I believe that if you really want to kick it [racism] out then teams have to be punished."
While he was loan from Arsenal to Sunderland, Hoyte got involved in the anti-racism initiative 'Show Racism the Red Card.'
And this week he attended that group's first-ever event at Arsenal's Emirates Stadium.

Fucking digusting. Pardon my language but I'm white and i think Racism is sick. Anyone that does it is nothing but a pathetic worm.

Yeh it won't which is very annoying but i think Racim should be a life ban from Football if you get directly caught saying racist comments.

yea chants are bad and kicking racism out is brilliant but some people overexarate it with saying things not racist not in this case
