As you guys have probably noticed, we've been using the Sportsticker threads for the past couple games as opposed to the traditional game threads that we posted before. Denny wanted us to try this out and see if it would work, because it gets the forums interacting with each other more and provides real-time updates for people unable to watch the game. However, I'm against forcing anything on you guys that you don't like. So tell me your thoughts on which you'd rather prefer and why (if you like the Sportsticker threads, don't be afraid to point out things you'd like changed with it). And us mods will go with the majority opinion. This also applies to the forum, in general. It might apply more to our JBB members since we came off a big merger, but I'd appreciate feedback from everyone. If there are things you'd like changed, things you don't like, or things you'd like to see added, tell us. Hopefully we can accomodate everyone, so their posting experience is more enjoyable (I, personally, like to be comfortable while angrily posting a rant against Sam Mitchell).

Ohhh man, I can only say that i find the sportsticker completely pointless. Anybody who wants to keep track of the game online can get the play-by-play streamed live. To get the occasional sportsticker update is just useless. Personally there are about two posts i'd look at 1) game preview 2) post-game box score. That's it. All this other info is just a waste of space.

So should I post my comments in this thread for the Indiana game or is this just a debate on weather we should post in the sportsticker threads?

This is just a debate. Post in the Sportsticker for now and we'll start with the regular game threads if everyone wants them back.

Would you guys be happy with the Sportsticker thread if there were only quarterly updates and I posted my preview in there? I'm just wondering (because the constant updates is the most annoying thing for me).

I like having custom game previews in the first post, that is my biggest issue because it looks much nicer than a sportsticker post. Like Chutney, I support whatever the Raps fans around here like. I don't mind the sportsticker though and I like the idea of having an official reference to back-up arguments in the future. If anyone questions anything about the game we have a log of it on the site for quick reference. I think of it as building up a database, where between the sportsticker and members post, someone could pretty much know what happened.

How about instead of the sportsticker posting whenever theres an update you could find a way to make it stay at the top of the page taking up only one spot and keeps updating there.
Or, just dont have it apart of the forum, make it a sperate application which can be opened inside the game thread.
