Without havning seen this game--thank goodness for blackouts--there's some I agree with and some I don't.

--Richard Jefferson can not carry a winning team. Sorry, absent another scorer, upfront or in the backcourt, he can't do it. Sure, he averaged 28.1 ppg in the 10 game stretch between Jason Kidd's return and Vince Carter's arrival in 2004, and sure he is averaged 25 ppg now, but in both those cases, the team sucked.

Agree, and I think everyone has understood this since then. I think RJ helps MAKE you a winning team, but he can't CREATE one.
Similar players include Rip Hamilton, Manu Ginobli, Josh Howard and Shawn Marion. Just because RJ can't carry an offense doesn't mean he's not an elite player.

I agree with Dumpy on this point - Nenad's a very good player, but he's not a great fit for a Jason Kidd led team. That's fine when he's on a rookie contract, but not at 10 million a year.

We'll see what happens when his contract expires. He's still a great deal at 1-2 mil a year for a shut-down defender off the bench.

Do any teams play free agency well? I agree with Dumpy here too - they should be going for up and coming players, rather than band-aids.

    The curse of John Hollinger.

    I'm on the bandwagon.

Marcus Williams + Sean Williams + Pick and Roll = OWZAMAHGAWD!

As long as Thorn's around, Frank's sticking around. If Thorn gets fired, I'd hope our new GM has the common sense to keep Frank.

i never have any idea wut this guy is saying lol. but still, the nets started off amazingly without colling in the lineup

Please bling, have some respect. That's very rude and ignorant to act that way. Jarkid is a Nets fan thru and thru, from
Taiwan, so you must understand that English is not his first language, so he doesn't have complete understanding of it.

Just think about if you were an English-speaking person on a message board full of people from Taiwan. And that you had to learn their language, and attempt to speak their language, with their slang, without full understanding. Might not be all that easy to communicate, now, would it?

Please, have some patience with him, and some respect for him.

    peg182, thank u !

I think if Jason Collins misses one more layup, you might just make up your own new language.

Haha, my first thought is Poorman's Poorman's Kobe Bryant, but he suggested that he should be Poorman's acid trip induced version of KB.

Yeah, he invented that, but Ialso enhance and glorify that sentence.

    haha this is true.

I would enjoy seeing Jarkid's new anti-collins language. There would only be one adjective: sausage liped; one adverb: triple-zero; one noun: cowlins.

Actually, I agree with the "r". This board does smell pretty good. That is, until Ashy Larry comes around.
