QUOTE (jarkid)

If we start him for all season long, he will be the ROY.

He'll have to beat out Durant and Horford. He's got a shot if he gets his rebounding up.

With Vince and Marcus out, he is the only real source of excitement in a Nets game. Tremendous talent and, judging from all the commentary about his summer performance and "rawness" in training camp, he's obviously a VERY quick learner. I wanted to give him a few games to see how much his performance varied game to game. But I'm officially on his bandwagon. Our best reason to be optimistic about what this team will be like by the end of the year.

fans went NUTS when he was announced tonight, and pretty much at everything he did. this guy has the potentional to make the Nets a popular team!
He does have a good chance at ROY, if he continues to play 30+ minutes. Per minute he is a lot more efficient and stat friendly than either Durant, or Horford. Durant will continue to have a tough time in Seattle because teams focus on him. Why else do you think Wilkins is ripping it up for Seattle? It's the VC effect on RJ. No defenses focus on Wilkins or RJ when Durant or VC are on the floor.

What Sean will have to watch out for is his stamnia half-way through the season. Its hard enough for college players to play 82 games in a season, so it will be even more difficult for Sean to get used to all this exercise

Not true. Shoot I think it was on NBA TV or somewhere similar where they were interviewing players about their rookie seasons. Everybody: Carmelo, Paul Pierce especially, said that a little after the half way point it really starts to wear on you. I guess its not really a matter of stamina as much as it is conditioning.

QUOTE (KD)

pfft!! I'm thinking about pickin him up for my fantasy team...haha

He's already on mine!! haha.
And Jigga, that 1st picture is especially sick. Already my background.

haha same. I photoshopped it a bit to mess with the color, lighting, etc to make it more dynamic, and blew it up to 1600x1064, but its mine as well.

Yeah sure. It's nothing spectacular, and a bit blury, but I'll see what I can do...
By the way welcome to S2 Aggie! Send me a PM if you have any questions about the site.
It seems that you know your way around photoshop (and are aware of M2, too!) It's good to have another GFX guy on the Nets board.

Click on the picture to see it

He has performed above and beyond what I had hoped for in season one. He works hard on the court and has a fair amount of enthusiasm in every play he makes. He will be inconsistant half way through the season, but thats to be expected. What is his ceiling in terms of comparison? He seems comparable to kenyon but with a lesser rebounding/more blocks... He isnt like Amare, or Dwight Howard for that matter since it seems like he is a little more finesse when it comes to getting to the hoop/less brute force...
I mean Kenyon is an obvious comparison but who else is a resonable fit? A young Kevin Willis? Shawn Kemp?

NBA dunk-o-meter for yesterday:

Sean with 5 dunks against the Heat, the most of anyone from the 20 teams playing yesterday.

Welcome, AGGIE! Texas A&M fan? And Wright fan? hm.
And welcome, pl! Thanks for that lil tidbit there...I didn't realize there was a dunk-o-meter. That's pretty cool.
If you guys need anything, PM me or Jigga or any other mod/admin, we'd love to help.
