Mourning just missed a turnaround hookshot with about about 40s to go. Kidd gets the ball and races it up the court. He looks over at the bench which I assume was thinking time out and I'm guessing Frank said play on. But why didn't Frank call a time out to setup a play and GET JASON COLLINS OUT OF THE GAME for the crucial offensive possession. Instead Kidd drives and Collins gets fouled and bricks two free throws. The previous possession before that Mourniing didn't even bother to guard Collins and stepped out on Kidd who had to hit a tough jumper to bring the Nets within two. They had a timeout and Frank didn't use it to go defense to offens and setup a play. And they should have gone for a 3 and the win. No way I would have liked their chances in over time.</p>

Kidd was running up the court after a missed shot. If he takes a timeout, Miami would be defensively ready for the Nets, the following play. I think the whole point was to keep the Heat on their heels, and possibly cash in. It backfired.</p>
