QUOTE

"I'm not going to play tomorrow or Tuesday," said Deng, who will be examined by team doctors and possibly undergo an MRI scan on his back Sunday. "I would think I'm out until Saturday [against the New York Knicks].
"I'm so relieved and happy that we played so well and got the win but I'm disappointed to have this problem, I've never had any problem with my back in the past.
"Everything felt good in the first quarter but then I went up and twisted when I scored that basket and felt it 'go' straight away. I can hardly walk right now. I've never had back pain like it."

Source: ESPN
Lakers need to shutdown Nocioni tonight. I watched the Clipper game yesterday and he was the player who kick started the Bulls on offense. Odom is going to have tough time defending him, but he just needs to use his length to challege Noc and not pick up cheap fouls. Noc is very good at throwing his body into the defender and then completing the And 1. Odom has to lead him into the help defense and force him to give the ball up preferably to Ben Wallace.

Lakers need to brush up on their flagrant fouling like the Clips did last night. Probably kept the game from being a rout

Yeah Ruben Patterson overreacted once again and Tim Thomas is still a punk. I was hoping Ben Wallace would lay him out when he checked into the game after the physical nature picked up. I love how Noc handled the situation he doesn't back down from anyone and still keeps his composure. He dominated Patterson all night and completely frustrated him.
I was surprised out how easy Kaman was scoring on Ben Wallace though. I'm hoping Bynum can have the same success tonight.

Well it's surprising how Ben Wallace straight up sucks this year. And he's won mutliple DPOY awards too.

QUOTE (BG7 Lavigne)

Kaman is averaging 19 points per game on the season...it really isn't that shocking.

Considering Ben Wallace has shut him down easily in prior matchups it was a shocker to see. The ease he was scoring at facing up or backing Ben down was something I haven't seen Kaman ever do against a defender.

I'm still trying to figure out how Deng got a mysterious back injury right before the LA games...good enough to play in the Clippers game but not the Lakers?

QUOTE (Jumpman)

He's intimidated by Brian Cook.

Of course.
And Ben Gordon fears NO ONE.

However, Chris Kaman scored pretty much at will against Big Ben. He finished with 21 points on 10/17 with 8 rebounds.

Wallace has had real issues with much taller players who can play in the post. At least from what I've seen of him with the Bulls.

He completely controlled the boards and deflected the majority of the passes into the paint.

Controlling the boards and deflecting passes is not my definition of dominating a game. Those are two things Ben Wallace should do for Chicago every night. However, he failed in defending Kaman.
