That was a terrible last play. There was more than enough time to get a high % shot - not a prayer 3. If that was a designed play by Doc, it was his first chance all season to coach a win - and he blew it.

I'm not Doc's biggest fan when it comes to late-game decisions, but I have to back him up on this. Against Miami, Doc drew up that play for Pierce, and that won us the game. So give him some credit, at least where it's due.

I saw the highlights, and am about to watch the full game in 5 minutes, but from what I saw on the highlights - I'm not so sure it was Doc's fault that Pierce hauled up the 3. Even Paul said it was his instinct.

Yes - the play was for Pierce to take it to the basket - and he went with his gut and took the outside shot.

Exactly... and that's why I'm saying you shouldn't criticize Doc for that play because it was Pierce's fault that he broke Doc's play and went with a terrible shot.

Oh yeah, I think you guys are going to lose tonight against Golden State too. Nothing personal, just think that they're still psyched over yesterday's win over Toronto and you guys won't be able to keep up with the trading of baskets. Golden States offense is amazing.

I think this should open up the flood gates and the Celtics should start losing more now. Come on guys, you didn't think that you were going to win every game right? That's the problem when you have a good team. The fans expectations sore. What? You guys thought that you could do the whole Chicago Bulls win streak at 20+ games (ala Jordan)? Dream on. You guys haven't even had a solid Western Conference team as yet (don't say Denver).. LOL.. welcome back to earth Boston.. LOL.. hahahaha

Must you try and instigate negative drama in every thread you go into regarding the Celtics?

By the way, we don't play Golden State tonight. We play them Wednesday.

I actually think Golden State can beat you guys as well. They give everyone matchup problems with their small-ball lineups and they have their swagger back.

Boston has been prone to getting in foul trouble and the Warriors are good at getting to the line (but shoot a low percentage). If the Warriors get one of the Big 3 in early foul trouble, Boston could fall behind by too, many points to catch up.

At least they don't have Howard.

KG will have his way with Biedrins or anyone that they throw at him.

We're much better than Toronto. And GS is allowing 114 ppg to their opponents, we're allowing 89. Their defense sucks. Oh and we've already played the league's highest scoring team, the Nuggets, and blew them out of the water so there you go. We also got one of the league's top ten offenses. The Warrior's won't beat us just because they beat Toronto.

The Warriors don't really count on shutting people down defensively. The question is whether or not Boston can keep up with the Warriors pace and also stay out of foul trouble.

Mmm, yes, I do that with the Nets as well. They're just a bit too brash with everything, and I still remember your comment about Boston being the favourites for the title. You have a good team, but they're allowed to lose here and then. Oh yes, sorry about that, yes they play on Wednesday.

Favorites to win the title? No, I never said that and I even refused to make a Finals prediction this early. The sexy pick? Yes.

We never said we'd go undefeated, we never said we were on top of the world, obviously we know we're going to lose games... I don't know why you're jumping to these types of conclusions.

You said it earlier in a Nets post some time ago. Anyways, mark my words, they will start falling soon. This team reminds me of the Houston team with Barkley, Pippen and Olajuwon some time ago, not the special Celtics with Bird or the even more special Bulls with Jordan. I'm not jumping to conclusion previously, just stating something you said in the Nets post some time ago.

I think the GS game will be a close one. Jax is back, and while Baron's the heart of the team, Jax is the soul of the team.

The thing is, what will the starting lineup be for Golden State? If they include good tall wing players, they can take the Davis vs. Rondo advantage. No way can Rondo hold down Davis.

He's just throwing a hissy fit b/c his Nets are on a bad losing streak, and he needs a way to vent his frustration. So what better way to do it than to bug the fans of the team that beat the hell out of his team twice in 5 day span?

Is what I'm saying not true? You guys are all-so great because you have played the best in the West (Denver).. LOL.. the NBA couldn't have been more nice to you than the schedule that was laid forth for your Big 3. Props to KG, Pierce and Allen, not to the fans of Boston.

I'll have you know that quite a few of the Celtic fans here have been here during the really rough days.I posted with them on another board well before the KG or Ray Allen trades were made. Oh I'll also have you know that over thepast two years, when the Celtics have been dreadful, the Garden was still stuffed with loyal Celtic fans on a regular basis. So accusing the majority of us to be bandwagoners is pure stupidity. But from reading your posts, what should I have expected?

Don't single people out. You have absolutely no idea how loyal Celtic fans are. I, for one, have only missed about 10-12 games in the past 3-4 years and last year - when we won 24 games - still watched all 82 games and wrote game previews/recaps. The Celtics have more legit die-hard fans than any other NBA franchise, and that's a fact.
