MONTREAL (Ticker) -- The Bell Centre faithful gave LarryRobinson a prolonged ovation prior to Monday's game. The OttawaSenators made certain they quieted the crowd shortlythereafter.

Dany Heatley had a goal and set up two others and Jason Spezzahad three assists as the Senators defeated the MontrealCanadiens, 4-2, on a night when Robinson's No. 19 sweater wasraised to the rafters.

Heatley snapped a six-game goal-less drought by recording theeventual game-winning goal with 5:25 remaining in the secondperiod to give the Senators a 3-1 lead.

After serving a minor penalty, Heatley joined the play in theoffensive end and accepted a feed from Chris Neil and depositedthe puck behind goaltender Cristobal Huet.

Chris Kelly scored his fourth goal of the season just 76 secondsinto the third period to give Ottawa a three-goal bulge.

Christopher Higgins tallied just over three minutes later tobring Montreal back within two goals at 4-2, but the Canadienscould not get anything more past Martin Gerber.

The Ottawa netminder made 36 saves to post his third victoryover Montreal this season. Gerber is now 7-1-0 in his careeragainst the Canadiens, including 3-0-0 at the Bell Centre.

Patrick Eaves opened the scoring with a power-play goal just3:47 into the first period. Captain Daniel Alfredsson fed Eavesat the goal mouth, and the former first-round selection of the2003 draft quickly deposited the puck inside the right post.

Chris Neil doubled the Senators' advantage just over fiveminutes later.

Heatley one-armed a pass to Spezza just outside the left post.Spezza flipped the puck to Neil, who beat Huet to give theSenators a 2-0 advantage.

Guillaume Latendresse halved the Canadiens' deficit midwaythrough the second period.
