It's about people in long distance relationships.

    And it seems like hell.

The reason I made this thread, now: Does anyone think long distance relationships can actually work?

I don't. They seem impossible to me. No way I would ever do one.

I'm in one right now and it's going pretty well. I'm not going to lie, I've slipped up had sex with a few other girls but I'm sure she has too (God, that'd be hot) and it's a mutual assurance that we may 'cheat' but we still stay loyal to each other. The thing about long distance relationships is that if you go into one being sexually active and then pretty much become celibate, it's a depressant and has been scientifically proven. I'm not trying to defend my infidelity, just saying. In fact, I'm going to call her right now and make sure she knows.

I don't know anyone who's pulled it off successfully. Even if you can abstain from cheating it's never the same even when you reconnect. I never bothered to get into one because I knew I wouldn't be able to stay faithful.

AmericanGod! that's an awesome understanding and mature one you have with your girl. Hopefully it works out for you and her.

Wow, that's pretty wild. I guess you have to be really open-minded and tolerant to jealousy to handle something like that.

Personally, I can be jealous at times (although most of the time I'm chill), so I definitely would not be able to handle a long-distance relationship. Not even an hour away.

EDIT: Actually, I'd rather keep my personal life to myself

I'm in one right now and its working pretty well. I think the key is how you leave each other. If its a really strong relationship, it will have a chance.
