Wizards Starters
PG: Antonio Daniels SG: DeShawn Stevenson SF: Caron Butler PF: Antawn Jamison C: Brendan Haywood (Probable)
Bobcats Starters
PG: Raymond Felton SG: Jason Richardson SF: Gerald Wallace PF: Emeka Okafor C: Primoz Brezec
The Wizards and Bobcats face off in a division matchup tonight. The red hot Wizards have won 5 straight games and with a win tonight would move to 4th place in the Eastern Conference meanwhile the Bobcats hope to make the playoffs for the first time in franchise history this season and will need to win games like this to get to that level. Gilbert Arenas is out simply as a pre-caution to make sure that he's healthy for our road trip next week while Brendan Haywood is probable after a light ankle sprain last night. Watch out for Caron Butler vs. Gerald Wallace, both are rising stars, one defensive minded one offensively, this will be the key matchup of the night. Also, Andray Blatche is coming off of a career night where he put up a surprising 26 points and 8 rebounds. Expect alot from the Wizards role players, Nick Young, Antonio Daniels, Brendan Haywood, DeShawn Stevenson, and Darius Songaila have all played terrific basketball over our win streak. This game could very well come down to the last minute. I tried to follow the game thread format for this but my computer froze halfway through.

Prediction: 105-101 Wizards

Wizards down by 2 at the half, we're playing pretty good basketball without Brendan Haywood and Gilbert Arenas (Yes, that leaves us with 9 guys). Our front court is coming up big and Andray Blatche is showing off just how great he can become if he continues to play at this level. Neither team is very happy with the refreeing as usual but this is a very evenly matched game. Gerald Wallace did go down with an injury with a couple minutes before the half, he probably will not return tonight, we'll see how the Bobcats bounce back from this. Should be an exciting second half of action.

What a thriller! Caron Butler has a career high 39 points while the Wizards win a nail bite 114-111. Bobcats had two chances to bring it to a second over time but missed badly on both attempts. The Wizards have now won 6 straight games and get a day off before we meet the Warriors at home, a game that I will be attending. This Wizards team has played terrific basketball even with Gilbert out and I expect us to continue this caliber of play. Andray Blatche, Antonio Daniels, and Antawn Jamison also all had big games. When I see Blatche play this year, I feel as though he could really become a big player in this league and with McGuire, Pecherov, Young, Arenas, Butler, and Haywood all still pretty young this team will be dangerous for years to come. Wizards improve to 6-5 and that will probably bring us to the 4th best record in the Eastern Conference after tonight which is hopefully a position we can hold through the season.
