Every basket this guy makes is a dunk. I watched him for the first time last night against Washington and I'm beginning to think he had never touched a basketball prior in his life. He made four dunks, but missed the two field goals he attempted, while going 0-6 from the line. He reminds me a lot of Amare physically in terms of his size and his athleticism, so it's not hard for me to see where people find potential in him, but I wonder how long it'll take for him to develop, if he develops at all. What do you guys think of him as a prospect compared to other bigs in this year's class like J.J. Hickson, Kevin Love, Blake Griffin, etc. who aren't as big and athletic but are obviously more talented and developed? Jordan's gamejust screams "project" to me.

I was already a fan of his going into the season and I believed he had better shooting skills but I assume that will grow. Honestly see him as the Greg Oden and like you stated, Amare type player except he is not as physical or strong as those two.
He's been looking great even with the poor shooting.

I have seen DeAndre play on at least 5+ different occasions in a game and a few more times in practice. The first thing to realize about him is this guy is Mr. Showtime. He loves the attention and he looks to dunk on anyone. He catches the ball, he isn't looking to score, he is looking to go over someone. Voodoo hit it right on, his FG% is really inflated, just because he gets dunks all the time. He hasn't proven that he has any midrange/outside game, something that the Aggie faithful are looking for. Everything he has right now is power, nothing finesse related. One part of his game that he lacks is his face up game. Also, went Law leaving the Aggies are in deperate need of someone who can just take over the game. Before the season began I really thought Jordan could be that guy for us but so far it hasn't been the case.
As far as his FT%'s are concerned, its a mental thing. In practice he is shooting pretty well apparently but he is having confidence issues going to the line in the college game. I think he rushes his shot to much at the FT line and think he could benefit greatly by just breathing and relaxing.
With all those negatives states, he is a monster in the paint and is a rebounding asset and a huge defensive presence for us. I hope his offensive game improves quickly and drastically.

His FT shooting was horrid yesterday when I saw him shoot them. He looked like he was rushing things and was building a house similar to Shaq. I heard he was extremely raw during his recruitment but didn't think he would be as raw as he is, sure wish Zona got him though

He is still very raw but he has a few years to grow. One of the people that stayed at my house last night is very good friends with DeAndre and he has been caught numerous times saying he fully intends on staying at A&M for a few years and has no intentions of leaving after one. Sure he would be a lottery pick if he went out next year, but the work he can do in college to polish his game will do him wonders.

Maybe Turgeon can help him get Paul Miller type skills, the post player from Wichita State's sweet 16 run. NBADraft.net projects Jordan as #3 pick, don't know what they see in him IMO though.
