Why have his minutes been cut so brutally in favor of Malik Allen. From Starter to 11mpg? From what I saw his energy was a valuble spark when he was on the court and he played with a lot of intensity. Is he in LFranks dog house all of a sudden? How is he supposed to become a valuble contributor whilst attatched to the pine? Plus if we cant play him against the Sonics, argueably one of the worst form teams in the league, when can we play him? I thought him and Wilcox would be a good matchup, since they have a fair few similarities in their games....

I obviously have missed something havent I?

I didn't catch a lot of tonight's game, but if I had to venture a guess, its because Malik is playing better (in other words he's actually playing basketball when he goes out on the court), while Sean adds a lot to the team but is still prone to rookie inconsistencies (finding himself on the court, turnovers, etc).

It'd still rather give most of the minutes to Sean, though.

Malik sucks he was decent when he hitr a few wide open shots in the beginning of the game but that was it he really didn't do much else. I'd like to see Kidd-Carter-Jefferson-Nachbar-Williams out there when we had them out there last night we scored everytime. We are definately better as a small ball team plus defensively that lineup isn't bad either cuz Boki was actually shutting down Durant when he guarded him. We would have 3 great shooters Jason Kidd who can do it all and then Sean who will provide the blocked shots, O-Rebounds, and alley-oops from kidd that nobody will be able to stop.

What Coach Frank is doing is very interesting. He has really increased his use of small lineups, and he is going almost exclusively with one of his athletic bigs (Boone/Sean) as his center (with the exception of subbing in Collins for defensivive possessions late in the game). Sean and Boone are pretty much exclusively playing with a small lineup right now, although from time to time he's going with a Sean/Allen frontcourt also. When Sean comes in, his job is to provide a burst of energy.

Again, I'd personnally like to see more of a Collins-Sean combo, but he likes to have a shooter on the court with Collins.

Malik Allen is a downgrade from Mikki Moore.

If you play this lineup : Kidd Carter Jefferson Alllen Collins,

what's the diffrence from the lineup of last season? Only downgrade, it's not an upgrade.

Allen = Moore (with worse jumpshots, and less athletic)

IMO, That's why I don't want to see Collins and Allen in the lineup...

Sean Williams is getting the minutes he should be getting, honestly I don't want to see him in there with Collins. Sean is still a rookie and should be out there with someone who doesn't force the other guys to double him.

In a perfect world Sean would be playing 30-35 mins a game but we NEED to develop Boone and get the other guys in the rotation going already. Malik Allen after all my gripe is finally hitting shots.

BTW, anyone notice that when Sean is in there we rarely see anyone attacking the paint? We've seen two very athletic clubs now and very little paint action from their swingmen. Sean goes out and we see Jeff Green going off, Sean goes in and we see perimeter shots.

What I hate is that when they say he is a rookie as an excuse. Everyone needs to learn sometime and it's not like he was costing us games. Hope he gets in their a bit more.

That doesn't change the fact that his defense sucks. I'll even go as far as to say Boki's defense is better.

I wanna see Sean out there more. His defense is much more important than any piece of shit attribute Malik brings. I'm sick of seeing Malik constantly getting beat by big men that are stronger, taller, quicker, and just plain smarter than him. It's ridiculous.

Get Sean out there, and use his shotblocking to our advantage. They say Collins is a good, smart defensive big man? Have him force players that go into the paint to go towards Sean, so he can send the ball to the other side of the court.
