I say chill with who we've got, don't make too many long-term decisions with players we're unsure about (Nachbar, Krstic), and if we can rip someone off, do it. Otherwise, stick to the current plan, and let players play out their contracts--specifically Kidd and Collins.

If the Nets don't get to the Finals this year, blow it up and I suspect that is what Thorn will do.

Kidd's value certainly hasn't gone up since they tried to trade him last season, and Carter is now saddled with a questionable contract. Last year Carter had a large expiring contract and there were still no takers.

I'd rather see Marcus and Nenad get healthy and contribute a little first. The team is capable of playing better than they have, and you can see some of the players (Boki, Boone, Sean for instance) starting to pick it up a little. Trading just for the sake of making a trade is a recipe for disaster. Wait until the right deal comes along or until someonereally forces you too.
