QUOTE

Another long and tiring day was complete, another excellent game added to a growing list for Jose Calderon as he tightened his tie, grabbed his jacket and headed off into the late afternoon to make a personal appearance.
But he stopped before heading out of the Raptors locker room, with another gem of a game in the books, a 93-78 pasting of the Chicago Bulls completed with a 14-assist, one-turnover, 40-minute effort and the 26-year-old Spaniard admitted it was starting to get to him.
"For moments I was tired, you have to fight every second on the court, to make plays," said Calderon, who faced nearly constant full-court pressure from Chicago guards Kirk Hinrich and Chris Duhon. "It was tough."
For those who wonder if Calderon is relishing an increased workload in the absence of the injured T.J. Ford, he made it pretty clear he's ready to welcome his point guard buddy back.
"Right now, how I feel," he said, "we need T.J. for Wednesday."
In three games, with Ford still recuperating from an arm injury, Calderon has played more than 120 minutes, dished out 35 assists, committed three measly turnovers and led the Raptors to a pair of wins.

The Toronto Star

We do need Ford back!! ...but JC is holding his own!
So... What do you guys think about Dixon as back up instead of DM while Ford's getting better? I like it! he seems way less selfish than DM!!

Except, Juan Dixon can't run the floor and dribbles way to much. As we saw when he played against the Bulls, they got within 2 and Sam had to put Calderon back in. Dixon can play some point, but make sure he isn't running it. Let the offense flow through someone else like Bargnani or Parker when Bosh and Calderon get a rest.

Put Dixon on the Floor with DM, it's not a back court that will strike fear in the hearts of opponents but at least they could feed each other some passes to jack-up ridiculous shots. The team needs TJ back. Jose has been great but to expect him to continue like this much longer is asking a lot of any PG not named Nash.
