QUOTE

• BAD-LUCK PACHULIA: As if things couldn't get any worse for Hawks center Zaza Pachulia, he sat out Saturday night's game against Minnesota with a sprained left ankle. Pachulia sprained the same left ankle in an Oct. 18 exhibition game in Charlotte, and that injury cost him the first five games of the season. "It was in practice [Friday]," Pachulia said before Saturday's game. "I came down on [Joe Johnson's] foot and turned it pretty good. But I'll be back from this sooner than I was last time." Pachulia said he plans to suit up Tuesday against the Bulls in Chicago, something Hawks coach Mike Woodson said he "hopes" is accurate. Rookie Al Horford started Saturday in Pachulia's place. • LEFT ANKLE FOR LAW, TOO: Rookie point guard Acie Law IV missed his fifth consecutive game with a sprained left ankle. Law targeted Saturday night's game as his possible return from the injury suffered in the Hawks' Nov. 14 win over Charlotte, but Woodson said that was the rookie's optimism and not the team's medical staff talking. "He wants out there bad," Woodson said of Law. "But it's probably going to be another three games [Saturday's included] before he gets back out there. We're not going to rush him back." • LOGISTICS: Rather than returning to Atlanta after Saturday's game, the Hawks scheduled a practice for this afternoon. Afterward, they had a scheduled flight to Chicago for Tuesday night's game against the Bulls.
