This would be a very awkward trade to happen, due to Kidd's huge contract. My guess would be that Varejao would be involved in a sign-and-trade, with a contract of around $9 million. Add in Shannon Brown, Donyell Marshall and Ira Newblle and his expiring contract and that has the salaries sorted out. Not too sure who such a big deal would favour, but any deal that brings Kidd and LeBron together would be worth it in my books. For clarification, thought, that's not meant to be an offer or an idea, just a show of what the salaries are like.

I know, I really don't think it will happen though.
FYI, Kidd is still playing at a high level and with one year remaining on his contract there is no reason he won't play it out at a high level.

If Kidd wants to play with LeBron he'll need to wait two more seasons.

Right now, he continues to play at a high level, but that can all change very soon. 2 years is a long time.

Kidd to Cleveland would have to be a 3 team deal. If NJ moves Kidd, they're blowing up the team. GSW has a 10 million trade exception and a couple of bigs that would interest NJ, but who on Cleveland would GSW want, or can fit into their system, Varejao, definitely....Boobie, fits all offense, no defense. Awfully difficult for Kidd to get to Cleveland via trade.
