Odom is struggling and is the time to trade him

In my NBA live I try to made this trade, tell me your opinnions
ODOM and fillers (picks, Crittenton, Vujacic, Mihm, doesn matter to me) for LARRY HUGHES and ANDERSON VAREJAO (sign and trade)

Varejao is an excellent defender, and he can be our starting PF. I was reading a spanish newspaper today and Varejao's said that he dont want to come to cleveland and that he was looking for other teams (sign and trade)

Hughes is a great shooter and a quick guard. He can play PG or SG, so he can be an excellent backup.

Probable Lineup 1:
Fisher/Farmar
Bryant/Hughes
Walton/Radmanovic
Varejao/Turiaf
Bynum/Brown

Probable Lineup 2:
Fisher/Farmar
Hughes/Vujacic or Crittenton
Bryant/Walton
Varejao/Radmanovic/Turiaf
Bynum/Mihm

TALK!

NBA Live is the easiest game to make trades. I would do this deal in a heart beat. But I don't see why the Cavs would do it. LeBron already plays the same position.

No. First of all, Hughes has been worse than Lamar, he has been a bust ever since arriving in Cleveland. Odom and Hughes's salaries are vitually identical, except Hughes's contract is one year longer. Hughes cannot stay healthy and gets injured almost every month. Hughes is a career 41% shooter, and is shooting 30% this season, and 40% in his last two seasons with the Cavs. Larry Hughes for one, isa lot worse than Odom. As for Varejao, I want no part of him. From what I've read, he'sdemanding asuperstar contracteven though he is a role player. Hehas a horrible attitude, bad work ethic (since I hear he's overweight now), and he's a flopper. No thanks

If there's a player worse than Odom it has to be Larry Hughes. I'd want no part of him on our roster. He cannot stay healthy and when he is healthy he doesn't produce, especially in crunchtime. Larry Hughes contract is a year longer than Odom's and caps out at an outrageous $13M.
I'd absolutely take Anderson Varejao, but it depends on how much he would settle for. The Cavs have been reported to offer $7M per season, but allegedly Varejao is holding out for $10M per. If he's willing to sign for $7M to $8M it would be a fair contract for what he does. He'd basically replace Kwame Brown once Kwame's current deal expires at the end of the season.
Instead of Hughes I'd rather take back Donyell Marshall, Eric Snow, Ira Newble, or Damon Jones.
Donyell Marshall's deal ends in two seasons and his skillset might actually fit in with the Lakers Triangle offense. He'd be similar to Brian Cook, but a much better rebounder and shotblocker than Cook ever was.
Eric Snow deal also ends in two seasons and he might agree to a buyout because Snow has considered retiring. If he did stay and is healthy, Snow is still a strong defensive player and would be insurance in case Fisher got in foul trouble or went down with an injury.
Ira Newble he's an expiring contract worth $3.4M
Damon Jones deal expires in two seasons and he can still shoot. He was great with Shaq in the post so there's potential he'd be compliment Bynum.

Hughes is the guard version of Lamar, injuries plague him, he's supposed to be good, and when he gets back from injury he won't do jack

I think we are trading nothing for nothing in return. We don't have a second option AT ALL if Odom leaves (UNLESS Bynum plays virtually the whole game, which he isn't ready for) BUT we do get a rebounder in Varejao, and I think he would complement Bynum well. As for Hughes, he does need a change in scenery, so I would do this trade, but wouldn't talk about a contract extension quite yet unless he ups his game a bit. I am NOT willing to trade Crittenton right now unless it's for Artest w/ Odom, so if we can trade Mihm and Odom for Hughes and Varejao, go for it.
