I don't know if that's helpful. He's got to relax, keep up his defensive intensity and all around be a little better at that spot." Skiles said Duhon provided "some really quality point guard play there for eight minutes or so, and our offense looked very good." Skiles even acknowledged that the Bulls are sneaking looks at Ben Gordon running the point, though they're doing so more in an attempt to jump-start Gordon offensively. Such is the depth of Hinrich's struggles that eight minutes of non-catastrophic play at point guard is considered progress. That's what happens when you're shooting career-lows of 34.6 percent overall and 20.5 percent on three-pointers. That's what happens when your assist-to-turnover ratio is a pedestrian 1.8-to-1. Hinrich's average of 4.7 turnovers per 48 minutes ranks 15th in the NBA, never a category in which to strive for league leadership. "I just think I need to stay with it and good things will happen," Hinrich said. "My confidence isn't shot. I've been through tough stretches before. I just need to play myself out of it."</div></p> Not much really new here. More eye-rolling but sort of soft-pedaling on Kirk by Skiles. I always wonder whether Skiles has a soft spot for him or views him as soft.</p>
I don't think it is serious enough to say that Hinrich is losing his touch. This is just a slow start for everyone on the Bulls team.</p>
