Seemed irked in his voice with this, sounds like he thinks he got screwed over by a sweet heart deal of sorts, and he is still bitter about it. Said relationships are a big part of the business. That was a heck of an interview.<o></o>
<o></o>
Actually, pretty refreshing candor. <o></o>
I don't like the reactive attitude from Paxson. If the team continues to struggle, we'll have to make a move. I think most of us have seen some pretty severe problems long-term with the team years ago. It would be nice to proactively change the team. I don't sense that Paxson has an opinion one way or the other as to the long term prospects of this group. I'm also not sure about how adamant he's pursuing these trade opportunities. Its easy to say that the other team does not want to give up the star, but we've also heard that Paxson is very reluctant to part with his own players as well. That's his right of course.

This shouldn't surprise anyone, but here is a comment about Pax from a Nuggets insider

QUOTE

Paxson is in love with Hinrich. We've tried to trade for him many times over the years, including recently.

Doesn't that mean the Nuggets are in love with him too?
Love or no, he's played like hot garbage.

QUOTE (MikeDC)

Doesn't that mean the Nuggets are in love with him too?
Love or no, he's played like hot garbage.

Teams try to make trades all of the time. Sure the Nuggets like him, but the point of that statement was that Paxson doesn't want to trade him.

What would Nuggets be offering? Camby? I wouldn't trade Camby for Kirk. What else would they have to offer us?
