Yeah one would think the NBDL is better is most regards to the Italian version. Hopefully he tears it up out there and moves on quickly

Actually, the team he plays for is in Italy's Lega2, which isn't anything like the D-League.

The D-League is a minor pro league that works in a farm system with the NBA (which in simple english means that teams from the NBA can call up/send players from and to the D-League).

Lega2 is the second division in Italy (SerieA is the first division, B1 is the third). The top 2 teams from the league get promoted to the SerieA, the bottom two fall to B1. It's a stand-alone league, unlike the D-League that has a parent league (the NBA).

My guess is that Ignis Novara (Ignis is a sponsor's name, Novara is the city) are paying Adams more money than a D-League team would so that's why he went there. Too bad they're in 2nd to last place in the league (2-7). Horace Jenkins, who was on the Pistons roster that reached the NBA Finals and lost in 2005, played for them a few years ago.

best of luck to hassan. liked the guy but he is just in a tough position because he doesnt have good handles or a jumper. yeah he came in with energy but if it didnt rub off on his teammates he really did nothing. granted he was a rookie and i would have liked to see him progress in a nets uni, but this is better for hassan. he can now really concentrate on his skills and hope to impress a scout and get an invite to someones camp next year.

Yes, yes it is. All basketball leagues in Europe are setup like that, too.

No problem, I love sharing knowledge of the European leagues. It's pretty much the same game, but it's a whole different world of basketball.

This is a guy who started for an NBA team last year, can't be that surprised

I'm still a bit surprised as to why he finds himself in the q-side league of leagues, but such is life.
