Hey guys, did you hear about Dallas complaining about their 111-107 loss to the pacers? What a bunch of whiners huh? Remember last year when the Raps went up against Atlanta and lost by a point when a basket was not recorded. That would have been more of a legitimate complaint because that basket would have won us the game. Dallas on the other hand lost by 4. I found it hilarious.

I don't know why Stern and the NBA don't review these tapes better. But, what can they really do. They can't go back and re-play the game, it's to late. Sometimes these things happen, like with Toronto and Atlanta, but nothing can be done.

Dallas is just stupid to argue it. There is no reason, the margin of win was to big. What is the NBA going to do? Take away 4 points?

If you make an issue of a scoring mistake, it will be addressed, and possibly avoided in future games.

Actually, you'd like to think this would happen, but it won't. I think in almost every game played there is some error or confusion. I understand what Dallas is saying about the score keeping, but this was just taking it too far with a re-play and somewhat childish because it's not like they're in a position where they need points to get into a playoff spot etc. Stern did the right thing and denied them. Had he said yes, all teams would be able to get away with it. Shame on Dallas.

It still changes the complexity of the game however. If you think you're down by 4 as opposed to being down by 2 it really changes the way you structure things.

I said it last time this happened with the raptors and I'll say it again, the way NBA treats it's actual basketball operations is a joke. Here we have a league that is supposed to be professional and you have crap like this that happens. The Hawks didn't even fire their score keeper, and he was told during the game that his count was wrong but insisted he was correct. Counting baskets isn't rocket science, if you screw up, you should be fired.

It's not hard to create standards to prevent things like this from happening, but David Stern is more concerned about proper dress wear and a clean public image. Who cares that the games are officiated and scored like crap?
