Antoine Wright will get his 10th straight start Saturday night against the Sixers, with Vince Carter coming off the bench for the Nets. Carter has no problem with his sixth-man role, saying he’s willing to do “whatever is best for the team.”

Me too. Carter seems to shoot higher percentages when coming off the bench, the offensive load isn't all on him anymore. We need to slowly ease him into the starting lineup, and not just throw him in. Not to mention that Wright has done a very good job so far as a starter, so there's no reason to pull him out right now.

I think this is a good idea. let him get to 100% first, and give the Nets that energy boost they sorely need in the 2nd/3rd quarter, and use Carter in critical minutes in the 4th.
we beat the 76ers already, let's do it again!!

I'm generally against guys who play a lot of minutes playing off the bench; less time to rest in between playing. Having said that, there are exceptions.

Didnt the team go 4-2 with Carter in the starting lineup? Why is Frank doing this?

It' not hard to figure out. They are playing the safe game with Carter until he is 100%, plus it is not a huge drop off for the team. I believe they went 3-0 with Carter on the bench.

Plus it is possible Carter may have said something to Frank about his ankle not yet feeling 100%.

I think anyone could look at how Krstic is doing now and say this is a good idea.

What? Actually, we did win all three of those games, and a possible reason was because Carter had come off the bench (possibly negating the 2nd quarter meltdowns we usually have).

This is a bad move and I would be surprised if Frank sticks to it, esecially after the destruction that is today's game.
