A big glaring weak spot on the Nets (other than the front court) is that they really need another shooter they can turn to coming off the bench. When Nachbar is missing his open jumpers there isn't really anyone else to turn to at the moment. The bench production is suffering because of it.

Another thing that has to change and hopefuly soon is Sean Williams becoming a regular starter and getting as many minutes playing with Kidd as possible still early in the season. Allen and Collins should be the ones rotating in and out of the starting lineup based on matchups.

Magloire for Giricek anyone? Utah could use another body up front and Giri just isn't getting any burn anymore. Both only have 1 year left on their deals and they both are making 4 million even.

I don't think a fringe player that can't even make it in the NBA is going to help us guys

We might as well trade Maglore for anything as our esteemed head coach refuses to use him. Everytime Collins is out there you are playing 5 on 4. Magloire is a former all star and should be given an opportunity to prove himself. I'd rather have Sean Williams get "on the job training" instead of having Collins. He can't score, can't block, can't shoot free throws or rebound. I have never seen skills deteriorate in a player like this.

Just another instance of Thorn getting a player and the little idiot not liking him. I wish they did not commit to an extension for Frank. I think he is 80% of the problem.

    Give the Cat a chance

Ugh please stop using that Magloire was a former all star. He was never an allstar calibur big.

Seems like Boki wont be getting any new and big contract in the offseason.

I could care less if he made the allstar team. Making the allstar team as a big in the time where the east had hardly any elite bigs does not say much at all. KG, Brand, JO, Yao, Shaq, Duncan, Amare, and Bosh are allstar CALIBUR bigs. Magloire was and is not an allstar CALIBUR big.
And everyone is a better rebounder than Twin.

Our other shooter off the bench is still recovering from a broken foot. We can joke about his D all day but we sorely miss the crap Marcus brings to this team on the offensive end in the second unit.

Marcus was never a good shooter to begin with. He is streaky just like everyone else on the team

He's no Eddie House but all it takes is 1 make to make the defense respect it and it frees up our bigs in the post, creates lanes for cutters, and gives him a chance to create off of dribble. You can say all this injured unit needs is another shooter looking at what we have on the floor currently but you add a player like Marcus who can create for himself as well as others and it's not as bleak as it looks.

Why not? When our offense is dead, we can bring him in, have him shoot a few 3's, and then send him back to the bench once our offense is back on track. It could be fun.

Actually, back then Collins could rebound, shoot and jump. Dont know what happened to him.

Again, even though he got to the allstar game, Magloire was never an allstar type of talent.

Because while Salim has plenty of games to his credit where he looks doing a really good Ben Gordon impression he is just plain retarded when it comes to decision making and is just as much of a revolving door on defense as Marcus is if not worse. I'm not saying having that firepower wouldn't be nice but those are only a couple of the reasons he sitting on the Hawks and he would be doing the same for us because of how much of a load we ask for our guards to carry.
