Reports differ. The NY Post says Kidd would accept as low as $13 million. That's a lot different than 24.

since we to compare him to :Stockton's final days, Stockton pulled in 8 million his final season....10-13, is not much in today's game.

Stockton had a strange career in terms of when he made his money. Stockton made a total of 68 mill over 19 years or 3.6 mill per year on average. He made 37 mill over his last 4 years (maybe the Jazz were trying to pay him back). Over his first 15 seasons he made 31 mill, or an average of 2 mill per year.

By the end of 2008-09 Kidd will have made 138 mill over his first 15 seasons. While Stockton made 31 mil over his first 15 seasons. So Kidd made 445% of what Stockton made during respective years.

Now, using this model to predict Kidd`s future salary gives us:

Stockton made 11mill for his 16th and 17thseasons, and then 7 mill and 7.8 mill for his18th and 19th. According to the predicted pay scale of 445%:

Kidd will make 49.85 mill for his 16th and17th seasons, and then a mere 31.15 mill and 34.71 mill for his final two years.
