NFL: NY JETS (2-9) at MIAMI (0-11) <h3>Dolphins face Jets seeking first win</h3> NY Jets (2-9) at Miami (0-11) 1:00 pm EST MIAMI (Ticker) - If the Miami Dolphins are going to win a gamein 2007, this might be their best chance. The Dolphins host the New York Jets on Sunday in an AFC Eastbattle of teams who have a combined record of 2-20. After this week, Miami has home games remaining againstBaltimore and Cincinnati and road contests at Buffalo and NewEngland. The Dolphins are coming off Monday's bizarre 3-0 loss to thePittsburgh Steelers, a game contested in nearly unplayableconditions due to heavy rain. The game was scoreless until Pittsburgh's Josh Reed kicked a24-yard field goal with 17 seconds remaining. The New York Giants and Detroit Lions played the NFL's lastscoreless tie on November 11, 1943. It was Miami's sixth loss of the season by three points or less,extending a franchise record. The game marked the return of Dolphins running back RickyWilliams, who played in his first NFL game since January 1,2006, due to a violation of the league's substance abuse policy. But Williams left in the second quarter with a shoulder injuryafter being stepped on and did not return. His status for thisweek is uncertain. After surprising the Pittsburgh Steelers in overtime two weeksago, the Jets returned to their losing ways on Thanksgiving,when they were routed by the Dallas Cowboys, 34-3. One of Miami's close losses was a 31-28 defeat to the Jets inWeek Three. The score was deceptive, however, as New York builta 31-13 lead early in the fourth quarter. Chad Pennington, since benched in favor of Kellen Clemens,tossed three touchdown passes for the Jets. The Dolphins' start is the worst for an NFL team since the Lionsopened 0-12 in 2001.
