I think it was because he was getting torched the most by Maxiell. Im not sure.

Why the hell did Allen get so much time? His defense was awful.

He was having issues guarding and boxing out Maxiell. Granted some of that was helping other players as their assignements blew past them but he was giving up good position for offensive rebounds and the Detroit bigs aren't intimidated from going right at him. Boone came in and had some nice plays. So they went with him, doesn't mean he won't play more in the 2nd half.

He got beat once by Maxiell from what I saw and the rebounding issues didn't get solved once he came out so that didn't matter. Who cares if their players aren't intimidated, He is the best big on our roster right now and should be getting more time than 6 minutes at the half. I have no problem playing Collins/Boone but find some fucking time.

Allen's everything is awful. If Sean gets only 3 minutes getting torched by Maxiell, then Allen shoulda been no later than 1 minute into the game.

It's a bunch of bullshit and a product of having a fucking dumbass for a coach. I'm beginning to think his train of thought goes like this:

"Hm. Didn't we win last night? And wasn't Sean playin big minutes last night? Hm...so wait...playing Sean Williams...big minutes...something happens when you do that, right? What is it...umm....shit. We get to go get ice cream after the game...? No, wait, that's not right. That only happens when Malik plays. Shit, I gotta play Malik more! Yay!"

Max got a quick foul on him, scored on him once and then cutbackdoor on him when he was helping on defense. I understand what yer saying but his intimidation factor is just as important as his play as he's kinda getting shoved around by the Detroit bigs. That's Franks justification for it I guarantee it. I think it was a mistake not countering with Sean as soon as Max was subbed in because he got his roll going on Malik. That kinda left Sean manning the middle by himself while Malik was seemingly continuously caught around the free throw line watching other guys get rebounds. Sean and Boone, lets go Frank.

Our starting bigs suck. And Frank is too much of a dick to actually play Sean.

Seriously, why did we even draft Sean if we ain't gonna play him? He's the best big on the team.

It's an eyesore to watch Malik and Collins out there. Detroit's bigs are toying with us. It's embarrassing.

If Sean makes a mistake, I can see why. He is first year and he has to learn but benching him does nothing. Allen has no excuses.

Guys, there is something more to this team than playing Willams more or less.Starting Williams is not a panacea for our problems...

    +5 for using "panacea"

and no it's not going to fix everything, but it's a start. I at least like advocating his minutes because I think the answer to fixing this situation is the answer to a lot of our problems.

    Ding Ding Ding.

I think this team is far from being a title contender, regardless of how we rearrange the minutes. We might look better with Sean on the court, but playing him 40 minutes a game will only make us marginally better. I'd rather that Frank bench Williams when he makes a mistake - it'll keep him motivated to learn from them, and I think Sean's history shows, if nothing else, a need to be motivated.
