I think that throwing Perrilloux out there for a few series will keep OSU off balance, just like Tebow did last year. If Flynn is on his game OSU is going to have their hands full with that offense, not to mention the defense.

There was an article in the Sporting News (I think?) awhile back saying how darn near invincible LSU could be if they did not lapse into stupidity @ crucial times.

I'm not an OSU hater but they still haven't played a team with the same caliber of any SEC team except for maybe Vanderbilt.

OSU is stepping up in class.

LSU has played several opponents as good or better than the Buckeyes.

I don't know where to start with comments like those. I know Ohio State earned themselves a lot of non-believers after last year's CG, but opinions like that are just so overblown it's unbelievable. Was everyone so down on Oklahoma and the Big 12 after they lost 55-19 to USC? Or when Nebraska lost to Miami 37-14? It's especially confusing since OSU was so good all regular season, how one awful game can create such an impression.

On to these comments. OSU certainly didn't have the best schedule this year, but no one as good as Vandy? Are Illinois, PSU, Wisconsin, Michigan not as good as Mississippi (winless in the SEC)? Miss. St., Alabama, and South Carolina are also allworse than thosefour Big Ten teams, and you could probably add UK to that list as well. Make no mistake, the SEC is a great conference this year - most agree the best - but they're not some unbeatable force where every SEC team can only possibly lose to other SEC teams. SEC East champ lost to Cal (3-6 in the Pac-10). South Carolina lost to Clemson. Mississippi St. gave up 28 first quarter points in a loss to WVU. Ole Miss fell to Missouri (no shame in that). Vanderbilt lost to Wake Forest. Auburn lost to USF. And 'Bama... well, let's not even touch that one.:) Some of those teams did pretty well in the SEC too (it's a pretty balanced conference).

And, it really seems questionable that LSU has played several opponents as good as Ohio State. Georgia does seem as good or better, but LSU didn't play them. I doubt anyone would claim Tennessee is as good as OSU? That leaves Auburn and Florida, both 5-3 conference teams, both very good. Those are the only teams I think you could be talking about though, and Florida leaves pretty much to be desired on defense this year and Auburn leaves a lot to be desired on offense.

LSU is going to plow the Luckeys and I can see them running OSU off the field much like Florida did last year.

Preliminary indications are that Tressel won't do much differet after waiting the same amount of time as last year.

    Eek!

Don't forget how Les Miles is a former Michigan player who would absolutely love to beat OSU. Just a little added incentive. Some great story lines here.

    [/QUOTE]

Yeah, that is true. Also, he might want revenge from when Ohio State beat him 33-7 in a bowl game when he was at Oklahoma State.

Okay, I'm not guaranteeing an Ohio State win, or saying they should be favored, or anything at all like that. I'm just trying to get across that they're not some joke. [IMG]

Every yr, the same 3 teams are dominant in the Big 10 (OSU, Michigan, & Wisc).

In the SEC, you never know who'll rise up. Last Yr, it was Fla, Arkansas, & ? This yr, it was LSU, Georgia, & Tennessee. Next yr, who knows? That is why the SEC is the premiere conference in college football.

This has been an anomaly in the Big 12 north this yr to have 2 real good teams. The South is always Texas & OU or so it seems.... yawn.

SEC is a great league, but looking at their top eight teams.. there are other conferences who are just as strong 1-8 I believe. This was a down year for the SEC, IMO. Lots of exciting finishes, but a lot of the teams were extremely young this year. Wait until next year, they'll be even better.
