The Netsisgreat. It'sclearly the best team Kidd's played for.But I've been a Jason Kidd fan before he wore a Nets jersey, andstaying in this team isn't doing any good.Kiddneeds tohavebetter teammates, a last pushfor championship. He should at least be withan above averagecoach. Sadly, these aren't going to happen here. It could happen in L.A.--where he and Kobe should be the best backcourt in the NBA--or even in Orlando--where his passing wouldmake Howard the best big in the league since Shaq. The most productive stage in Kidd's career is still possible. We just need to help him make it happen.Rod Thorn et al., trade Jason Kidd.It should've been donelast year.

Frank wouldn't think twice about having to form a rotation with that before having a heart attack. I say no deal.

So the threadstarter is more of a Kidd fan than a Nets fan? Gotcha!

We're one game under .500 and we're just gonna call it a day and hand over our team captain? Apparently you're not to familiar with the Nets, this isn't anything close to doomsday yet. Wow, the Nets couldn't beat the Pistons at Detroit after an overtime win the night before in NJ, not many teams can. Did anyone seriously feel we were going to win this game? Not to sound pessimistic but beating Detroit at the Palace is pretty damn tough for our squad when they're healthy and pretty tough for the entire league not named Utah.

I agree completely. I can't believe somepeople want to jump off a cliff at 8-9... just one game out of 4th in the eastern conference. I know we are playing poorly right now and the injuries have taken their toll, but geez. Give it a little time.

It's not happening. Even though they were close to doing it last year, I can't see it happening. remember how Kidd and company complained about lack of attendance? Just imagine what it'd be without Kidd!

another thing we have to think of is Kidd's leadership. Without Kidd, the Nets would have completly fallen apart by now. but, as they say, business is buisness, and it's not always good.I wouldn't mind giving up Mags, Nenad, and RJ and a pick or two for Kobe to bring him here.it's too early for me to think logically though.

Right team, but I wouldn't go near that horrible package.

I think Houston would need to involve a third team. They don't have a large expiring contract or any great young prospects.

They should sure be trying to get Kidd, though.

Maybe something like this, but it's still not ideal.

The Nets really need cap room and young guys with a lot of potential.
