I don't expect his strategy is to have his best 3 players shoot 8-39

Down 16. We have 'em right where we want 'em. Someone needs to explain this Skiles strategy to me.

I think we need to package Hinrich, Thabo, and Tyrus for a big man. To whatever takers there are. Gasol is possible. We might be able to trick Phoenix into taking that, as Tyrus is fastbreak guy that they'd like, and they love Thabo, and they'll think they could turn Kirk into Nash II or something. Still, this team, the two guys that consistently give us nothing are Hinrich and Thomas, they probably have some value still, and packaged together, we might be able to get a nice piece. Artest is another guy I'd be looking to get, have Gordon play the point with Artest at shooting guard.

1st off, Hinrich's value is about as low as it's ever going to get so it's not the time to trade him. I don't see any reason for the Griz to want Hinrich when they've already got three capable PGs and two capable SGs.

I could see the Suns having some interest, but I don't see how the guys they could offer back (Marion, another tweener forward who's very expensive, or Barbosa, who's a better version of Gordon) are any help for us, except that they're different kinds of poor fit for this team.

Noc is our go-to guy. Trip one down and he manufactures us some points by driving. Trip two and he hits a jumper. Skiles ought to make Deng and Gordon wash his jock after the game.

Good thing we ended up with Ben Wallace out there checking Jason Terry. That's a recipe for success.

Well, I was wrong about Noc... I was sort of worried his contract would make him hard to trade down the road. He's still worth his contract. 30 points in 30 minutes sure doesn't hurt.

Too bad the rest of our players thought the last 2 games meant they didn't have to shoot with their eyes open any more.

CHICAGO (Ticker) -- The Dallas Mavericks continued their dominanceof the Chicago Bulls, posting a 103-98 victory at the United Centeron Monday night.

Josh Howard collected 27 points and 10 rebounds and has nowscored 20 or more in 10 of his 15 games this season for theMavericks, who have won 17 of their last 19 contests against theBulls.

Dirk Nowitzki added 25 points for Dallas, which won for just thethird time in its last seven games.

Holding a 16-point lead midway through the fourth quarter, theBulls went on a frantic fourth-quarter run that was too little, too late. Chicago's 21-10 spurt cut its deficit to five on LuolDeng's three-point play with 1:05 left.

The teams then traded baskets until Andres Nocioni was fouledattempting a 3-pointer and nailed all three free throws to makeit 101-98 with 11.6 left. But that was as close as Chicagowould get.

The Bulls could not steal the ensuing inbounds pass and wereforced to foul Jason Terry, who nailed two free throws toprovide the final margin with 9.7 seconds left.

Dallas started quickly opening up a 10-point lead on a layup byDevin Harris with 4:21 left in the first quarter. But the Bullscut their deficit in half and trailed, 29-24, after onequarter.

The Mavericks built their lead back to 45-34 on two free throwsby Howard with 6:23 left in the second quarter. Chicago thenfought back again, cutting its deficit to 45-40 on rookie JoakimNoah's layup.

Dallas finished the half on a 11-4 run, led by Nowitzki's sixpoints, en route to the Mavericks' 56-44 lead at intermission.

Harris left the game in the third quarter after a collision withNoah. He did not return and was diagnosed with a neckcontusion.

Luol Deng and Ben Gordon, who each posted season highs lastSaturday against the Charlotte Bobcats, combined for just 21points in this one. Deng scored 11 points on 4-of-13 shootingand Gordon added 10 on 4-of-16.

Nocioni scored 30 points and Kirk Hinrich added 14 of his 18points in the fourth quarter for Chicago, which saw its brieftwo-game winning streak come to an end.
