SC is giving up on going for offensive rebounds and selling out to stop transition
22-21 M 4:41

Memphis commits their 11 turnover and SC goes up 29-24 at the half
CDR has 2 points and Rose has zero

Mayo is impressive. I hate the negative things I've heard about him, such as his attitude and the fact that he hit a girl last year, but he is keeping my eyes open. He can create his own shot any time he wants, and he has a knack for knocking down those off-balanced shots. He reminds me of Dwyane Wade in a a lot of ways.
In this second half, I'd really like to see a lot more of Rose and Mayo actually defending each other. A lot of the time in that first half, they weren't even on the floor at the same time - and when Rose was in with Mayo, Mayo was playing off the ball so Rose didn't guard him. I want to see a true head-to-head matchup with these two young stars.

Rose is pressing too hard. He looks like he wants to tear Hackett apart.
Mayo with a nice lob and then a bucket off an inbounds play
36-20 SC 14:21

If you would have asked me which player between Rose and Mayo would have pressed too hard tonight, I would have said Mayo, but he has been under control the entire night and Rose is the one playing like a spaz.
37-35 SC 10:52

Yeah cpaw, each time I've watched Rose (2 and a half games now), he has played kind of out of control and has really forced nearly every shot he has taken. Both times I've seen Mayo, he has played within the flow of the offense and taken smart shots, for the most part. Mayo has impressed me defensively more than Rose has, too. It was supposed to be the other way around.
But Davon Jefferson... he is one interesting prospect. That put-back slam was friggen insane, too.

CDR looks completely lost in this game. Memphis is going to need to ride their interior advantage to win this game
50-49 M 3:00

CDR where are you? Why is the ball in Anderson 's hands with game on the line?
52-51 M 45 seconds
M ball
