In my mind Carolina is the clear #1 and Kansas has been on the ropes twice in the past week, even though they played two good teams.

I am surprised to see Cal and Arizona left out of the Top 25. Cal is going to be a interesting team to watch, because they really needed an undefeated start like this to get a jump start towards a NCAA birth. UA pulled off a huge win over A&M after being down 20, only to win by 11. They lost to UVA and Kansas by 5 total points. I am excited to see them grow before the Memphis game and a win in Chicago would definately help, even if Illinois isnt that great.

I also felt Cal should have cracked the top 25 after their victory over Missouri. I don't think USC should be in there after their loss to Kansas at home. They have two losses on the season (three after last night's loss) and haven't done enough to justify remaining in the top 25.

Their win against the Salukis (ranked #19 at the time) cancels out their embarrassing loss to Mercer. The Salukis are 3-2 on the season so the victory doesn't look as impressive as it originally did.

Cal should be 6-0 before they face Kansas State. If they can win on the road against Kansas State they should definitely crack the top 25.
