<h3>Nets try to continue winning ways against Knicks</h3>

EAST RUTHERFORD, New Jersey (Ticker) - The New Jersey Nets lookto continue their recent surge when they host the New YorkKnicks on Wednesday.


The Nets have won five of their last seven games - including a100-79 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday. RichardJefferson paced New Jersey in the contest, scoring aseason-high 36 points.


Jefferson is putting together perhaps his best season, averaging25.4 points and 4.9 rebounds a game. The 27-year-old forwardhas scored at least 30 points in three of his last six games.

The Knicks are beginning to find their rhythm as a team, winningthree of their last five games after a season-high eightgame-losing streak.


However, New York failed to win back-to-back games on Sunday,suffering a 115-104 loss to the Phoenix Suns as Stephon Marburyand David Lee each scored a team-high 21 points.


The Knicks will be without Marbury on Wednesday after his fatherdied on Sunday night. The point guard will be preparing forthe funeral, which is scheduled for Thursday.
