thorn wont pick him up. i dont think we are going to pick anyone up until january. whats the purpose of bringing in someone who 1 is a rookie and 2 has to learn the system in the middle of the season and 3 has frank as the head coach. i dont think there would be any chance for DN to get any playing time and even if he does play good frank will find a reason to bench him for blown assignments or something. look @ how frank is using sean, there is no hope for DN.

The reason why I'm saying we should pick this kid up is his young, cheap and can shoot. Heaveraged 18.9 pts in his final yr of college, shot.417 for the 3 , Averaged 15.6 pts during the summer league and shot .391 from the 3. At this moment the way Boki is playing his unlikely to return to the Nets, bringing Nichols in now allows him to get used to the Frank's coaching and rotation. And seriously look at the depth of youth on the bench, Marcus Willams, Wright, Nichols, Sean Willams and Josh Boone.

I thinik he was waived to create space for Varejao. I read somewhere that it came down to him or Shannon Brown, given the Varejao matching puts them over the cap, it was logical to cut the unguaranteed contract.

I just hope we're in the mix on this. get him and we're just 1 or 2 good draft picks away from rebuilding under the radar.

It's a huge risk to bring in Nichols here with Frank coaching, but I'm willing to take that risk. We could use a player like Nichols, with good defense and great shooting. Let's not kid ourselves, Boki sucks at defense, and his shooting has sucked so far, while Antoine is just as inconsistent as this team as a whole. One night, 10+ points, the next, 2 points.

I mean, it's not like it'll really hurt anything. Try him out, he's got talent, shooting, he can defend. He could be another scoring punch off the bench

It wasn't cap space, it was roster space. A team can only have 15 under contract

i def. want him here as well. im just saying if your looking at it from the nets POV then why bother. chances frank plays him? slim. so we arent going to bring a guy in here to just sit on the bench and collect money. now if wright is going to be out for a while then maybe we will pick him up. i would love to add him even if he doesnt get that much playing time this year. he is young like everyone said and could become a nice player once a team believes in him and wants to keep him around.

ps. that guy hangin from the rafters might like to play with a shooter
